Methods Of Data Representation [Every thing about DI]

Top management, customers, stakeholders or who ever involved rarely have enough time to go through detailed reports. Hence requires presenting the data in such a manner that enable reader to interpret the important data with minimum efforts and time. Thus CAT checks if applicant understands these methods.

The data can be presented in two ways:

Non graphical methods :

TABULAR FORM: The complete name for tabular data presentation method is numerical data tables and this is the most commonly used method of data presentation. Tabular form of data presentation correlates or measures two things/variables at a time.

One variable get represented in columns and other in rows and particular area by row and column is called cell.

Example: PRODUCTION OF TWO-WHEELERS IN INDIA


Following questions may be generated:

  • CONTRIBUTION OF ANY TYPE OF TWO WHEELER IN TOTAL PRODUCTION IN ANY PARTICULAR YEAR.

EX: contribution of Scooters in terms of total production =

(Production of scooters/total production of two wheelers) X 100

  • RATE OF GROWTH IN ANY TYPE OF TWO WHEELER TO PREVIOUS YEAR.
